America’s Got Talent auditions: Meet Mia Moore the counting dog
In the sneak peek below via Us Weekly, you get a good taste for what Mia has to offer. The dog has a real talent for barking on command, and responding to the number of times in which she is told to bark. She can do it in response to certain sounds, and apparently, she can also do it as a result of reading cards.
How in the world is this possible? It’s probably the end result of just a lot of conditioning and learning. This is definitely not the sort of thing that you can teach a dog overnight, and there are probably certainly tricks to make it happen. It’s incredibly entertaining, and definitely not the sort of thing we even imagined to be possible.
Now, here is the flip side for this performance: Where do you go from here? Assuming that Mia makes it to the next round, it’s hard to imagine anything that different coming given that every act is likely going to be some variation of listening to the dog bark. It’s great for an audition, but it’s hard to know how you are going to follow this up with anything else.
Ultimately, in between this and the piano-playing chicken, at least AGT this season seems to be showcasing enough wacky animal acts to have a worthy lineup for an entire package during the finale later this summer.

One thing that you should check out is another preview for Tuesday night’s episode, which features a man named Colin Cloud who proclaims to be a real-life version of Sherlock Holmes.
