Chicago Med season 3: What should happen with Will, Natalie, others

Med season 3

What should happen on Chicago Med season 3 with the majority of your favorite characters? The point of this article is all about trying to piece that together and figure it out!

What the season 2 finale on Thursday night did that was so effective is give you a series of little cliffhangers, and then also a big one courtesy of Dr. Charles that rocked the entire foundation. It gave you appetizers, and then a whopper of a main course.

Now, the only thing left to do is speculate as to where some stories could go from here. Why not offer a few suggestions?

Will – The way that the first season ended for Dr. Halstead was somewhat expected, given that you knew that he and Nina would be breaking up. However, there was no confirmed coupling of him and Natalie. There’s something still to play here in that she hasn’t verbalized too many of her feelings yet. The dance from the finale can be interpreted as something, but that was just a moment. They need to look towards something that lasts.

Natalie – The romance with Will is appetizing, but so is getting some more material of her as a young mother. This is one of the aspects of her character that allows here to stand out, but was vaguely mentioned over the course of season 2.

Dr. Charles – Obviously, survive! Beyond that, learn more about his own limitations and when it is right to let go as to when it is right to keep fighting.

Sarah – The idea of a pairing between her and Noah Sexton is interesting, but beyond that continue to find a voice and deal with patients on a long-term basis. The arc with Danny was one of her best this season, since there was time for a longer investment.

Connor – Continue the development of the relationship with Robin, but also focus more on his life away from the hospital and some other interests.

Ethan – Exploring his personal life with April is certainly welcome here, given that it’s a very different dimension for him that softens his personality. The relationship did come almost out of nowhere, but it’s worth being patient about to see where it goes.

April – Allow her to move forward following the devastating miscarriage — don’t forget it, but allow her to have more opportunities to look ahead to her future.
