The Voice iTunes results: Lauren Duski, Hunter Plake still strong

itunes results

In looking at The Voice iTunes results going into tonight’s results show, we do know one thing: Lauren Duski and Hunter Plake are safe. They are the two artists hovering around the top ten as of about 12:30 p.m. Pacific time, so they should get the multiplier and stay sitting pretty for a while.

As for the remainder of the field, we can pretty confidently also rule out Brennley Brown and Jesse Larson, who both finished in the top twenty. Aliyah Moulden and Chris Blue really weren’t all that far behind them, which means that six out of the top ten are sitting pretty. We’re not ruling out something crazy happening with Aliyah or Chris, but it would be one of the more shocking results in recent memory if one of them was sent home.

The four that we’re considering in some danger going into tonight are TSoul, Lilli Passero, Vanessa Ferguson, and Mark Isaiah. TSoul is actually ranked much higher than the other three on iTunes, but we’d still say that he is somewhat past the margin of error on iTunes results in comparison to how people vote. He could be in some jeopardy. It would be easy to say that Mark goes in a battle against Vanessa and Lilli given past results, but this is a guy who has managed to survive two #VoiceSave showdowns already. There’s a case to be made for his time being up, but you can also argue here that may he’s just found a way to shore up a devoted block who will be there to support him when this moment comes. With everyone else on the show, you know that there is some ambiguity there.

To us, the big surprise is that Mark couldn’t find a way to appeal to more Harry Styles fans given the fact that he was performing a song that is one of the most current out of anyone on the show.

Nothing from the results last night changes our mind that Brennley, Lauren, and Hunter are the three artists most likely to be at the end. If this is the final configuration, we wouldn’t be shocked if Brennley and Lauren cancel each other out somewhat, leaving Hunter as the champ. This would at least be one of the more interesting finales in recent memory in terms of competition.
