Dancing with the Stars: Who was eliminated — David Ross, Bonner Bolton?

Tonight (at least on the surface), it was clear that the Dancing with the Stars elimination was going to be either David Ross or Bonner Bolton. These were the two contestants who had received the most negative feedback from the judges, and in turn the ones who were fairly lucky to make it to this point in the competition.

Yet, we’re sure that the majority of the fans had a chill going down their spine heading into the results given the fact that we’d already seen both Heather Morris and Nancy Kerrigan go home this season. Based on some of Bonner’s scores tonight, it felt like the judges were trying to lower the scores down to raise his odds of him being eliminated before the finale (also Len Goodman was a bit harsh in his critique).

The reality is, these guys are the worst dancers left in the group — we like them both, but sooner or later the cream typically does rise to the top in terms of performers on this show. Simone Biles, Normani Kordei, and Rashad Jennings are far and away the three strongest dancers on the show this season.

The results – These were pretty rushed because of time. Normani was the first contestant declared safe when the results were announced, while the second was Simone. So far, the results were precisely as they should be.

This is where things get a little bit more interesting. David was sent through to the semifinals! This set up a situation where Rashad could have technically been sent home from the competition, not that we really thought that this would be the case before Tom Bergeron announced the name.

Were we correct? In the end, yes. The time was up for Bonner this season, but he had a good run! Considering his injury and lack of experience, he did rather well this season. He didn’t deserve what Len Goodman said to him earlier in the night, but we now have the best final four possible out of the remaining people. Now, it seems as though David’s number is probably going to be up moving forward, but stranger things have happened.
