Is Blue Bloods new tonight on CBS? Given that we’re in the midst of the home stretch for the season, it does feel like now more than ever, there’s a demand to get more of what we love from the show. We’re building towards the finale, and there is some excitement that goes along with that.

Unfortunately, there is no new episode airing tonight, and we’re going to continue to be on hiatus with the show until we roll around to next week. That is when the first of the final two episodes of the season will air; for now, though, we want to put more of our focus on previewing the May 5 finale entitled “The Thin Blue Line.”

The photo above gives you a small sense of the integral story coming for Frank. Remember when he recently made his desire to take on the Mayor’s office abundantly clear? You’re going to see a lot of that play out in this episode, just as you will also get a chance to see the return of David Ramsey in the role of Mayor Poole. We have no idea how he has the time to film the episode with his Arrow schedule, but we’re glad that we will get some sort of opportunity to see a little bit more of him. He will be making a pretty surprising confession to Frank during the episode, and without giving away too much, it feels like this could rock the very foundation of the show as we know it.

On a different note, there are no finale photos that are out there featuring Vanessa Ray or her character of Eddie Janko … but don’t worry about it. While we haven’t seen the character much as of late, we do believe that she is going to be back eventually. Maybe it won’t be this season, but the show’s been renewed for a season 8. The show came up with a way to temporarily write her out seemingly with a reassignment, and we’ll miss her however long she’s gone. (We did write more of a piece about that recently over here.)
