Grey’s Anatomy season 13 episode 20: Meredith, Riggs, and an airplane
This new video (see below) continues to spotlight Meredith (Ellen Peompeo) and Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson) going through what may be an episode full of highs and lows, and we don’t just say that with the knowledge that an airplane may potentially be falling out of the sky. What we’re going to see as a result of this is an episode geared largely around panic, and on seeing if everyone can make it out of the situation in one piece.
Before we get to that, let’s rewind a little bit since there are a few moments sprinkled in here where the show seems happy to make it appear as though Meredith and Riggs could be getting close to joining the mile-high club. We doubt that actually happens, but who knows? This is Shonda Rhimes, and she likes to keep you on your toes!
As we’ve said before, one of our biggest concerns within this episode simply has to do with how Meredith is going to handle being present here through the lens of everything that she’s experienced to date. One of the biggest things to remember is that this is a woman who’s been through a plane crash already. While the series is at a point now where they don’t talk all that much about either Mark or Lexie, that doesn’t mean that they are insignificant. This could be an incident that throws Meredith right back into where she was then. You can see some of that potential fear in her face in the thumbnail below.
Riggs, in his own right, is certainly also familiar with tragedy. Even if it came in a different form, that sort of tragedy is not the sort of thing that we imagines goes away with time. This episode’s going to be a chance to get to know each other better, but also to go through a great deal of chaos.
