Bull episode 19 review: When dresses can kill

Bull episode 19 review

In this Bull episode 19 review, we talk models, adventures, replacement dresses, Bull going undercover, and … Chunk.

As a whole, this was the most important episode for Bull’s fashionable employee this season, as we saw the murder of his longtime fashion mentor (Paulina Porizkova). When Bull started to represent the prime suspect in William, this caused a good deal of tension between the two parties.

We felt for Chunk, we really did — but a big part of the fun of this episode revolved around Bull hobnobbing with the entire fashion community. For example, we had a chance to see Bull and Marissa attend some fancy galas, and perhaps Marissa enjoyed it a little too much.

In the end, though, this is Bull, and this is a show where we do eventually get some of the answers. The big thing tonight is that many of them came without Bull having to spend too much time in the courtroom. He instead was able to use some more of his own investigative powers to figure out what happened … and also how they were able to use a poisoned dress in order to do it. It turned out that it was none other than the artistic Giancarlo who was responsible for the deed — he killed Paulina’s character, and did so after being fired by her. He had instead tried to cover his tracks by firing someone else, and making sure the the motive pointed more towards someone else. It turned out that William’s name was cleared, and he gets to move on trying to work on a fashion empire.

As for the relationship between Bull and Chunk, let’s just say that by the end of the episode, the two worked out some of their differences as they started towards the future. It certainly helped that Dr. Bull was right all along with William — Chunk was able to also be singlehandedly responsible for capturing Giancarlo in the end. As Dr. Bull explained, he was a former all-pro athlete and could chase down a vengeful designer in the blink of an eye.

Oh, and it turns out that Bull may have hired a new assistant in the closing minutes as well … consider that one of the your moments of humor in what was a pretty fun episode. Kudos to the show for finding a way to mix things up, and making this more than just a court show for the week. Also, we got a return for Diana Lindsay tonight! He paid her a visit in the closing minutes of the episode, so there love story is continuing — for now. Episode Grade: B+.

What is the Bull return date?
