The Flash season 3 episode 18 photo: Abra Kadabra and the larger mystery

Abra Kadabra

In the wake of the recent musical episode, we hope that this The Flash season 3 episode 18 photo serves as a nice reminder of some of the really excellent stuff that is coming up! Specifically, we mean this in terms of Abra Kadabra’s arrival, and the potential that goes along with that in terms of Savitar’s identity.

On Tuesday night’s new episode, you are going to get an opportunity to learn some clues about the God of Speed’s true identity. It’s something that Abra Kadabra himself teases to Barry Allen in the extended preview below, while also making it clear that he and Barry have been enemies for a rather long time. What’s the incentive for Abra to give up the goods? Presumably, it has to do with letting him go. If he does that, he gets to know the information he seeks.

The first thing we gotta say here is that we really like Abra Kadabra as a villain, largely because he’s arguably the closest thing the DC Comics – CW universe has given us to Zatanna. We’re still trying to figure out why this character is being abandoned in both the TV and movie universes, given that she is someone with a lot of cool traits and someone who brought a good bit of entertainment to the table in the comics.

Anyhow, learning the identity of Savitar will be key to understanding if there is a blind spot, or something that can be better exposed so that the team can properly take him out. He’s not going to be an easy foe to thwart (have you been watching this season?), but we know that it’s feasible. One of our bigger questions is what happens when the team learns the identity. Personally, we’re sticking with our theory that Savitar is future Barry, which comes about as a result of changes that he made within Flashpoint. We don’t love the fact that this would bring up Barry’s Flashpoint guilt all over again, but it could be a fun idea for the series to further explore.
