Westworld season 2: Talulah Riley promoted to series regular
To date, HBO’s been rather coy when it comes to handing down Westworld season 2 teasers, but we do have a little sliver of news today that is certainly a cause for great excitement.
According to a new report coming in via Deadline, Talulah Riley is set to be promoted to series regular for the upcoming season. She appeared in several episodes of season 1 in the role of the host Angela, and all indications suggest now that she’ll have a far greater role in season 2.
Of course, there are questions aplenty still regarding what this role will be given that everything from the settings to the characters are still up in the air in one form or another. Westworld season 2 is still so far down the pipeline that all you can do is speculate on the subject at the moment. We hope that Angela has a more active role in the story, given that one of her more significant contributions beyond the earlier part of the seasons was furthering along some of the Man in Black theories.
Westworld season 2 will unfortunately not premiere on HBO until we get around to 2018. By the time it does return, we do anticipate it generating enormous ratings and being all the more popular — even more so than it is right now. Just remember that there are plenty of people who fell behind during season 1 and for one reason or another struggled to catch up in season.
In addition to writing the new season, one of the reasons for the long delay between now and it airing is the lengthy production and post-production cycle. It’s an expensive show to produce; it may be worthwhile, but that sort of ambition and effort takes considerable amounts of time.
While you wait, the one suggestion that we can offer is that you head over here to secure some additional news right now when it comes to Westworld.
