The Bachelorette filming begins with Rachel Lindsay!

The Bachelorette filming

When is The Bachelorette filming? The question’s been out there, and within this article, we were certainly glad to have an answer for you: Tonight!

In the post on Twitter, you can see Rachel Lindsay preparing for this season with a photo featuring show host Chris Harrison and executive producer Mike Fleiss, who clearly dressed up for the occasion. (Why is this dude wearing sunglasses this late in the evening?) Rachel clearly seems happy to be there, and you do get a good sense of what her fashion is going to be like for some of the season.

Now, we just hope that Rachel gets some good guys on the coming season. We did have a chance to meet some of them earlier this season, and we’d describe the majority of them as somewhere between “mildly sweet” and completely hokey. We did have hope for a couple of the guys (read some of our impressions from the first night over here), but we also think that the producers were saving some of the best contestants for the show itself, which seems to be the smart move really. You gotta give people reason to watch!

Filming will take place over the coming weeks, and we absolutely expect to see some more teases along the way. The majority of production will take place in California over the past few weeks, and then, the show will likely head off to some other destinations. Will the show go to where she presently lives in Dallas? They’ve done that with some Bachelor seasons, but they may not opt to do so here. Just think of all the famed people with Dallas connections to star on the show over time, whether it be Sean Lowe, JoJo Fletcher, or Jake Pavelka. You’ve also got people like Brad Womack who at the very least hailed from the Lone Star State. Who knows why the city is such a hotbed for contestants perfectly suited for the franchise? Something in the water? We grew up near Dallas; never quite saw it.

There is no firm premiere date yet for the new Bachelorette season, so let’s just say that it should be starting off at some point in May. Further details will likely be made available at some point over the next several weeks. The best link to follow for all updates on the season is the one over here.

What do you want to see on Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette, and do you think that this experience can work for her? Feel free to share some of your thoughts with a comment! (Photo: ABC.)
