The Fosters season 4 episode 17 spoilers: Are Callie, AJ in trouble?

Following tonight’s episode, great news for those of you excited to see The Fosters season 4 episode 17 — Freeform’s not going to make you wait some extremely long stretch of time in order to see what’s next! There is no more one-week hiatus, and you’ll get a chance to see “Diamond in the Rough” air come March 21. It’s a story that will pick up where many stories tonight left off, and give you a chance to see if some relationships change (Callie and AJ) and if some things fall apart (Lena’s plan to help LGBTQ students learn sex-ed).

Below, you can get some further news regarding what to expect from the story.

The Fosters season 4 episode 17 synopsis – “Stef starts a new assignment in human trafficking where she meets a teenaged girl named Diamond who is turning tricks on the streets. Lena deals with repercussions for holding an off-campus LGBTQ sex ed class for Anchor Beach students. Callie’s relentless pursuit of justice starts to impact her relationship with AJ.

“Meanwhile, Mariana tries to cheer up Jesus with a special project after he’s prescribed a special pair of glasses due to his traumatic brain injury.”

Probably the least shocking bit of news in here is that Callie’s work in the legal system would cause her and AJ some problems, just because she can get so focused on things that she develops tunnel vision. AJ has his beliefs and causes that he wants to support, but he also wants to spend some time with his girlfriend! There may not be enough time for her to give to him in the midst of everything else.

As for the Jesus story, we hope that something does in fact make him happy given that this has been a very long and at times very dark road for him, really to the point where it’s been difficult here and there for him to see the other side of it.
