The Bachelor: Are the Danielle Lombard – Luke Pell dating rumors anything?
It’s funny. There are lame rumors out there, but typically they come from anonymous sources who won’t say anything on the record. What makes this story about the Danielle Lombard – Luke Pell dating chatter so interesting is that most of it is coming from Luke itself, and it still sounds exaggerated for the sake of telling a story. Danielle is on this current season of The Bachelor, while Luke was supposed to be the Bachelor at one point before Nick Viall signed on. There are all sorts of rumors about what happened there, but they’re hard to verify and are not exactly easy to understand.
So, for the time being, let’s just get to what Pell had to say courtesy of Us Weekly:
“She’s a great girl … But we haven’t gotten to know each other yet. We haven’t even had a real, proper date or anything yet.”
Wait … how than they be romantically intertwined without a date? It feels like the best way to describe the relationship that the two parties have at present as “interested in each other.” They don’t know if this is going to work. It’s possible Danielle was cast thinking that Luke was going to be the lead, and this could just be his way of trying to have an opportunity that he felt he was going to have.
Ultimately, though, there’s one word we’d use to describe this: Awkward. Actually, we’d use that to describe a lot of relationships that happen with this franchise. One of the things we wonder here is if these two use this as a way to get on the next Bachelor in Paradise season, and that’s where they can actually work on their relationship. They’re both probably on the list of people ABC would want. (Quick question: Does Nick getting The Bachelor mean that more people are going to go into Paradise thinking automatically that they are going to get the golden ticket to the next show? It’d be painfully awkward, but let’s be real here: It’s not far out of the realm of possibility.)
