Black Sails season 4, episode 7 preview: Staring death in the eyes
Next week, Black Sails season 4, episode 7 will bring you closer to the culmination of the entire series, and that is a crazy thing to think about given what we went through tonight. This episode contained in a nutshell some of the biggest moments and most devastating deaths in some time. Losing Eleanor was harsh enough, but then to lose her in the way that we did, while pregnant? We call that devastating.
Now, there are only four more episodes to pick up the rubble, and for Flint and Silver to try and gain back what they’ve lost following the Spanish invasion. There were little victories here and there, but the more you see them plot and scheme, and the more that it is clear that they are fighting an uphill battle where there may be only so much more that they can do.
Do they still have some plans? Absolutely. As the promo below indicates, you are going to see Flint do his part to navigate his people up the most in order to seize the town for his own. He’s a determined man — you’ve seen that as a consequence of all the he went through in the series to date. He will not be someone who sits back and decides that enough is enough. Unfortunately, he has to contend with an emotional Silver, and then there’s the whole Woodes of it all. Maybe he got some of what he wanted with his plots tonight, but in turn you can link what happened to Eleanor directly to his actions. Is Madi dead, as well? For the time being, we assume so (it’s what makes the most sense) — though TV shows and quiet character deaths are becoming more and more of a rare occurrence.

“Flint urges caution on an angry Silver; Max leads Rackham and Bonny up river; Billy locates a survivor; Rogers learns the truth.”
Just as you would expect, Starz is not being altogether willing to give up further episode details when there are only a matter of a few weeks to go on the series. This show is firmly in watch-and-find-out territory.
