Power season 4 spoilers: Narcos actor Maurice Compte set to appear
Who’s ready for the latest Power season 4 casting news? We’re pleased to report that Narcos actor Maurice Compte will be joining the series, and it’s certainly a role that suits the flavor we’ve come to expect from the show.
Per a report from Deadline, this role will be recurring for Compte, and he will play a high-level drug dealer. The site claims the character will be named Maurice; however, IMDb lists the part as Diego Jimenez.
As for who is front and center in the drug trade for the coming season, that remains more of the mystery. In the aftermath of everything with Milan at the end of season 3, it looks on the surface that Tommy may be in a more aggressive position than ever before. He feels like Ghost took advantage of him, and he may want to take advantage of this opportunity to stake his own claim on the world. Odds are, he’ll be doing everything that he can in an effort to do just that.
Could Maurice be a competitor to Tommy? Could he be an asset? Both seem like fair possibilities. It’s a little too hard to connect the guy to Ghost, mostly because at the moment, Ghost remains behind bars. He’ll be there at the start of the season, and it remains to be seen when he’ll be getting out. (Hopefully, sooner rather than later — Power as a series is far more entertaining when Ghost is out trying to piece together his life. That won’t be easy this time thanks to everyone from Tommy to Kanan.)
There’s still no firm premiere date for Power season 4, but it feels clear now that it’s coming in summer. We recently wrote a full piece projecting the possible premiere date, so consider that to be a good jumping-off point in terms of when Starz could decide to launch the show. The ball is going to ultimately be in their court on this one.
