‘The Flash’ season 3, episode 14 preview: The fight against Grodd goes to Central City

Grodd -Tonight, “The Flash” is going to be airing the episode “Attack on Gorilla City,” an installment that will feature the entire crew from STAR Labs feeling somewhat displaced and then some. The likes of Cisco, Barry, Caitlin, and Julian are going to be doing their part to figure out the right way to take on Grodd, but unfortunately, their battle is far from over yet.

Next week, “Attack on Central City” is going to bring the battle back to Earth-1, and you’re going to see the stakes raised dramatically as Grodd and his new crew are on our heroes’ home base. As a result of that, it’s going to be all the more difficult for them to be able him on.

Synopsis – “When Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov) and his army of gorillas bring the battle to Earth-1, The Flash (Grant Gustin) and team must find a way to stop them before they destroy Central City. Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) returns to join the fight. Meanwhile, Jesse Quick (guest star Violett Beane) decides she wants to stay with Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) on Earth-1.”

Could Jesse actually stay put? That’s a great question, but we do see that as a rather-unlikely solution given that without her on Earth-2, who is going to be responsible for helping to protect that version of Central City? Also, having three speedsters in one city may tip the scales a little too much; you do want there to be some stakes in terms of whether or not the villain can come out on top; unless you’re battling someone like Savitar, it feels pretty safe to assume that three speedsters can defeat just about everyone else. They could even make Zoom appear like chopped liver.

Promo – Grodd’s here, and he’s ready for the showdown. As for the return of Gypsy, we’re mostly seeing here just because she’s responsible in some way for Grodd being at Central City in the first place.
