‘This Is Us’ episode 16 preview: William, Randall take a road trip to Memphis

This Is Us -There are so many sayings out there about making the most of the time that you have, mostly because you don’t quite know when that time is going to be up. As we’re looking to the final episodes of “This Is Us” this season, we could see these messages reverberate more than ever before as we start to face many questions. Specifically, we’re left to wonder whether or not William is going to make it out of this season alive after a myriad of health problems.

With Jack dead William is one of the main father figures still in his life, but he hasn’t been a known figure to him for very long. This upcoming episode, entitled “Memphis,” is a chance in order to learn a little more about where William came from, and how his life may have in some way impacted his biological son’s. It’s a story about bonding, but we figure that it could also be one where we get to see some heartfelt and even frustrating moments along the way.

Synopsis – “Randall and William take a road trip to Memphis, where Randall learns about his biological father’s past.”

The reason we used the word “frustrating” in particular when pondering over this show is simply a matter of wondering if seeing some of these memories and history is going to lead to any resentment on the part of Randall towards his father that he only gets the chance to learn about all of this now. Even if on the surface he may be showing off the illusion of someone who is very much happy, it’s possible that certain things could eat away at him underneath.

Promo – Take a look at it below. If this doesn’t make you cry, odds are that the episode that you see tonight probably will.
