‘Scorpion’ season 3, episode 17 preview: All about seed banks and hallucinations

Scorpion -Tonight, “Scorpion” is bringing you an episode all about chess, which we really hope is going to be an entertaining one. Given that at the center of it will be a chance to see Walter and Sylvester on a key undercover mission, we feel like we’re going to have a chance to see a great deal of entertainment.

Now that we’ve said that, the show has to find a way to top it … and that’s why we are here with some further details for next week’s new episode, which carries with it the title of “Dirty Seeds, Done Dirt Cheap.” This is going to be an installment that offers up a chance to see some odd hallucinations, which are going to be stemming from (yet again) the overall mission at the heart of the hour. This seems to be a theme for most of the season, if not the entire series as a whole — the team gets a new challenge, and then somehow it all goes awry despite it looking reasonably simple on the surface.

Synopsis – “When a simple mission to protect a vital seed bank goes awry, Team Scorpion must save Happy, Sylvester and Cabe, who begin suffering from life-threatening, fear-based hallucinations.”

Yes, we know that there are going to be some serious stakes at the heart of this hour, especially the longer that the hallucinations last. Still … are you really going to tell us that this is going to be anything short of hilarious to see how some of these characters are going to react to being in this situation? Everything about this sounds like it’s going to be funny, and as a result of that, we don’t have any reason to doubt its ability to be just that.  We’re also not that worried about any of the characters’ fate, mostly because seeing one of them killed off at this point in the story would just feel a little too depressing and out of place.
