‘Outlander’ season 3: See Caitriona Balfe arrive at the BAFTAs
The EE British Academy Film Awards (otherwise known as the BAFTA Film Awards) are one of the larger ceremonies that tends to happen for entertainment awards in Great Britain, and it just so happens to be taking place today!
With that, we’ve got for you below in the latest edition of “Outlander” notes a sighting of series star Caitriona Balfe arriving on the show’s red carpet and signing some autographs for fans. Is this the right spot to insert a note about how good she and the entirety of the cast are to fans? Even though it can get overwhelming from time to time, she does still find a way to be great with them.
For those of you who have been following the production schedule closely, this appearance by Balfe, coupled with one that she made last night at a pre-show party, is further confirmation that she has yet to venture over to South Africa, the next filming location for the series. Our sentiment has long been that she and Sam Heughan will not travel over until March, given that they have a convention appearance in Seattle planed for about that time and it seems challenging to go from the United Kingdom to South Africa back to Seattle and then back to South Africa to continue working. (This is all just mere speculation our part, though.) The sets are already being built and prepared in the area, though, so rest assured that whenever the cast all does arrive in the country, they’ll have a chance to start filming fairly quickly.
Alas, there is still no word or mention anywhere on when the show will first premiere; we want to believe summer at the moment based on the fact that “Outlander” will not be done with production until May, but it’s better not to pinpoint dates given that Starz could surprise us all with some announcement down the road.
