‘Real housewives of Atlanta’ preview: Kandi Burruss confronted over more rumors

Kandi -

After a week off of the air for the Super Bowl, be prepared for the return of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” to Bravo on Sunday night. With that, you also better be prepared to see some of the women come out swinging. Some of the most dramatic episodes of the season are still to come, and some of it could begin courtesy of a camping trip in the middle of the woods where everyone decides to air their dirty laundry.

How in the world does this end up happening? Well, it’s not too hard to figure out — the show loves to find ways to throw various cast members together and cause conflict, and there’s no better place to do that than the middle of nowhere. They have to communicate with each other because nobody else is around, and even though they may have some technology at their disposal, it’s not like they’re overrun with it to the point where they are going to have distractions.

Synopsis – “The ladies finally reach the woods of Georgia for a fabulous weekend of “glamping,” but are shocked to learn that they’ll be spending their first night sleeping in tents. Later at the campsite, Marlo confronts Kenya over unresolved issues, leading to a massive argument. The next day, the women begin to come together and bond over their outdoor activities, but things quickly fall apart at dinner when Kandi learns about major rumors flying around about her. Forced to confront old drama and new drama too, the women all decide to speak their truth.”

The preview below really focuses on one question: Whether or not Kandi Burruss is a lesbian. The answer here feels like it falls very much under the category of “none of your business,” but you can’t be all that shocked that these women would pester her on that based on a rumor anyway. Does it really matter if she is? Not in the slightest, just as it doesn’t matter who anyone is dating so long as they’re happy.

With that being said, Kandi’s gone through a lot of trouble getting married if she’s exclusively into women. It just feels like the whole origination of this talking point was just as a means to rile people up.

As always, we welcome your thoughts on the promo in the comments! (Photo: Bravo.)
