‘Criminal Minds’ season 12, episode 13 preview: The key Matthew Gray Gubler episode ‘Spencer’ is (almost) here

Criminal Minds

“Spencer.” That’s an episode title that you may have known about and dreaded for many weeks now. Typically, it means that terrible things are about to happen to one of your favorite characters on “Criminal Minds,” and as a result of that, there are certainly concerns coming for Matthew Gray Gubler’s title character.

For more news in terms of the tricky situation that he’s faced with, rest assured there are some further details for you below.

Synopsis – “When a BAU member gets in trouble in Mexico, the team enlists the services of the International Response Team for their help, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Feb. 15 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” stars Alana De La Garza and Daniel Henney guest star as Clara Seger and Matthew Simmons.”

Typically when you’re getting a crossover with a spin-off show, you do want to see it happen under happier, more-exciting circumstances than one of your main characters being in danger in another part of the world. (It feels like one of the biggest mysteries to go along with Spencer’s whereabouts at the moment is when we’re going to get a chance to even see “Beyond Borders” back on the air, given that it does feel as though it’s been forever.)

Hopefully, we’re just going to get an installment in the end that proves to be exciting, and offers up some great opportunities to see how some characters react to Spencer’s difficult situation. We obviously want nothing more than for him to be okay; hopefully, he will be, but early indications are that no matter what happens in this episode, the events that you see play out are going to have life-changing implications on him. It’s confirmed that the story of his mother Diana will be continuing for a time, as Matthew Gray Gubler is slated to make a return appearance.
