‘Celebrity Big Brother’ spoilers: Who was evicted in seventh place?
With us being in the final week now, “Celebrity Big Brother” is moving at a somewhat-accelerated timeline. This means that we’re seeing people drop like flies — or at least we were for a while! The final is coming up later this week, and the roster of finalists are officially set.
Today, that meant losing Calum Best. While we don’t quite think that anyone heavily dislikes Calum, his biggest problem this season was that he was frankly rather boring. Other than some brief romances here and there, he really did not bring a whole lot to the table. He was a calming influence on others in the house, and we’re not sure that “calming influence” is really the right term that you would want to use to describe the best player in this game.
With Calum’s exit, this means that the final six are Nicola McLean, Coleen Nolan, Jedward, Kim Woodburn, Bianca Gascoigne, and James Cosmo. Of this group, it could actually be rather close. We would think that on paper James Cosmo would be the winner, but are the British public really going to vote for someone that even-keeled? Kim has become a redemption story in the eyes of many, and is far more popular than we ever thought that she would be. Meanwhile, Jedward’s got this enormous following that we could feasibly see everyone else splitting up votes so that the two of them win in the end.
Now that we’ve said that, we don’t think that there are any serious candidates to win at the end of this season beyond Jedward, James, and Kim. It’s just hard to see the other three ladies having a tremendous following, though we do think that Coleen could end up finishing in fourth. Maybe Bianca’s showmance helps to get her fifth place, but that’s the best that she can really hope for this season.
We just find it interesting that of this group, you do have several first-time players in the end! This just goes to show that there is something to be said for bringing some fresh meat onto the series rather than relying strictly on familiar faces.
