‘The X Factor’ UK: Sharon Osbourne reportedly signs new deal to stay

Sharon -Are we officially set to get a little bit more of Sharon Osbourne on “The X Factor” looking beyond this year? For the time being, all signs are pointing to yes.

According to a new report coming in courtesy of the Mirror, Sharon is closing in on an agreement to officially return to the singing show for another season, one that would pay her the impressive fee of around two million British pounds. While of course you can argue as to whether or not she is worth that (many people understandably will), the reality here is that the market speaks. If someone aboard the show feels as though this is Sharon’s true worth, who can say otherwise?

While the ratings were not exactly going in a positive direction for most of this past season of the singing show, at the same time the panel with Sharon, Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell, and Nicole Scherzinger generated better rating than the one that we saw on the show one year before that. They seemed to all have a great relationship and got along in a wonderful way. What may have shocked us the most was precisely how much Sharon seemed to care about having this job once more. At the end of this past year, she commented on how she’d been through one of the more difficult years of her life, but being a part of this series was a way for her to move forward and find a tremendous source of happiness and camaraderie.

While the future for the remainder of the panel is at present unclear, most signs do point towards everyone else coming back for another season. At this point, Simon likely realizes that there is not a whole lot that comes from shuffling around the panel. Viewers want consistency, and they want to know precisely what they are getting every time they sit down to watch the show air its latest new episode. Is anything so wrong with that?
