‘The Fosters’ season 4 spoilers: On bad dreams and harsh realities

Fosters -While there are many moments of happiness that we get to see over the course of “The Fosters,” one of the things that you do still have to remember is that this is a show where there is a lot of devastation and hard ship. These characters arrived to the Adams Foster house after many difficult times, and it’s not suddenly as though everything is better the moment they arrive there.

As a matter of fact, things seem to be going from bad to worse over the course of the second half of the winter premiere.

According to Freeform, the upcoming February 7 episode entitled “Dream a Little Dream” is going to focus in part on Jesus imagining an alternate universe in which he wasn’t there to help Mariana. The character will continue to struggle in the wake of what happened between him and Nick during the winter finale; there is no guarantee he will come out of his unconscious state and recover, but we hope that he’ll find a way to over time.

As for everything else that is happening in this episode, let’s just say that Callie will be facing a lot of legal trouble. While she’s done a series of things that she considers to be right, at the same exact time that doesn’t mean that they are legal. This is a distinction that this character is clearly still trying to wrap her ahead around, and it could be a little bit of time before she figures it out completely. Here’s the question you have to wonder: By the time she does, will it be too late for her to get herself out of some of her many binds?

In the midst of all of this, expect some relationship development for Mariana, and for Brandon to try to be the glue who keeps everyone together. It’s almost ironic that he underwent such a dramatic life change recently, and yet at the same time he is finding a way to be the glue for the entire family. Consider that complicated!
