‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2 spoilers: Divisions in the Legion of Doom

LegendsThe second season of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” is so far a rather interesting mish-mash: This is a show that is doing a number of wonderful things, but at the same time there is still one central complication: It’s almost impossible to know where this is going, or what the endgame is for our Big Bads in the Legion of Doom.

Heck, there are still some questions out there regarding how Eobard Thawne is around now given what happens to him in “The Flash,” and whether or not his time-traveling ways with Damien Darhk is going to end up changing things for either one of them in the present. We’ve also got questions about how Leonard Snart could eventually factor in here, given that originally, talk was that he was going to be a part of the Legion in his own way.

As you may have heard previously, there is an upcoming coming up this year (airing on January 31) entitled “The Legion of Doom,” and this installment is going to do a good job of giving up some more information regarding many of your adversaries — not only that, but there will be some opportunities to explore some of the tension that exists between them. Damien Darhk and Malcolm Merlyn in particular are going to start to wonder if Eobard is going to be pitting the two against each other, even though it’s not entirely clear why other than that he may want the two of them to feel like he is the most important person in the room.

As for the Legends, two things are going to remain at the core of this story for them: The Spear of Destiny (first introduced in the winter finale), and trying to ensure that they have Rip Hunter on their side … even if he doesn’t have much of a recollection as to who he was as a former Time Master.
