‘Chicago Med’ season 2, episode 11 preview: ‘Graveyard Shift,’ Reese’s hardships, and an important patient

reese -There’s no denying that for Dr. Sarah Reese, “Chicago Med” season 2 has been a difficult journey. While she thought she had better figured out precisely what she wanted to do in terms of her medical expertise (psychiatry), in the process she learned what happens with Danny when you start to become emotionally invested in whether or not someone is going to be okay.

It would be nice to say that things will be getting better for her on next week’s episode entitled “Graveyard Shift,” but unfortunately, it looks like it instead will be proving one of our long-established rules to be true: Nothing good ever happens after one in the morning.

Synopsis – “It’s a long night on the graveyard shift at Chicago Med, especially for Dr. Reese (Rachel DiPillo), who must deal with pronouncing patients dead on more than one occasion. April (Yaya DaCosta) gets called in to work, much to the dismay of Tate (guest star Deron J. Powell), who pressures her to slow down. Meanwhile, Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) passes along some vital news to Dr. Latham (guest star Ato Essandoh), and Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) asks Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) to work on a most unusual patient.”

Even though the hours are going to be largely different for many of the doctors in this episode, it looks like we’re still going to see them all back at work — or at least most of them. When you think about getting run into the ground like April may be, there are some causes for concern that go along with that. How much is too much? There may be an impulse to try to make as much money as possible, or there may be an desire to help the most people you possibly can. Both are understandable, but everyone has their limits and they’re not always the best of knowing them.
