‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 10, episode 13 is not on tonight, but here’s some first details

Big Bang -It probably seems to some people out there that CBS doesn’t quite know what it wants to do when it comes to their programming schedule for the month of January — they’ll air a week of new episodes, then a week of repeats for some shows, and then they’ll be back with new episodes again! It’s completely batty, but for some reason whatever they do ends up working out well for them because they show no issue whatsoever going back to that well.

With that in mind, there is no new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” coming on tonight, but rest assured that there will be something more coming your way soon in “The Romance Recalibration” on Thursday, January 19. As with many other episodes in recent memory, relationships are going to be the key here. This time around, though, the focus is being cast a little bit more on Leonard and Penny than Sheldon / Amy and Howard / Bernadette.

Synopsis – “When Penny feels that Leonard is taking her for granted, she decides to go on a spa weekend with Amy. Also, Wolowitz and Koothrappali try to fix a squeaky floorboard in the baby’s room.”

Given the title of this show and its tendency for amazing comedy, it’s hard to imagine a situation in which these two characters actually ended up having something so terrible happen that their relationship ends. The fun comes strictly out of the notion that Sheldon, a guy who struggles with almost everything in his day-to-day life, could be the person responsible for helping to piece together their lives once more.

As for Raj … yep, we’re giving him a story about a squeaky floorboard. There was frustration before the winter finale about the lack of substantial airtime he was receiving on the show, and that is escalating now given that the series had this prime opportunity to start to accelerate his story in the wake of his personal revelations. Instead, it seems as though we’re focusing for now more on the romantic side of things. While we do enjoy watching these couples as much as the next person, we also enjoy variety. We’ll see what the writers have to offer as we move further into season 10.
