‘Elementary’ season 5, episode 12 preview: Tears of a clown

Elementary -

For everyone out there who loves “Elementary” and the story of season 5 so far, we come bearing some tremendous news: There is another new episode coming next week! This one is entitled “Crowned Clown, Downtown Brown,” which is probably an extremely difficult episode name for anyone to say five times fast. We always do appreciate the clever way in which the writers do play around with episode titles here, but at the same time, we also recognize that this is not why most viewers out there are reading this article. Moving right along…

Next week’s episode is going to be very much about clowns. Also, dangerous viruses. To us, the clown part of it is a little bit more entertaining and endearing, mostly because of the sole fact that it is something so unusual and different than anything that we’ve seen to date. To be fair, we’re not one of those people who carries around some sort of terrible clown phobia like a lot of people do in 2017. Also, we recognize that the majority of those killer-clown stories from the news cycle over the past few months were fake.

Judging from some of the other information that is out there about this episode (clowns aside), it’s looking like you’re going to see a great story between Bell and Joan that will give you some further insight into their personal dynamic.

Synopsis – “When Holmes and Watson investigate a clown’s murder upstate, they discover a connection between his death and the creation of a new weaponized virus. Also, Watson helps Bell when he’s targeted by his new love interest Chantal’s (Chasten Harmon) ex-husband in attempt to sabotage her career at the district attorney’s office.”
