Sing for the Holidays! ‘A Pentatonix Christmas Special’

Got to thank NBC for tonight’s “A Pentatonix Christmas Special.” Why? For all of us who can’t sing, this is a great holiday treat. The music is awesome (performed by a Grammy-winning group) and when singing with Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire and others, you have to feel a little festive. Wanna make it better? Lip sync if you don’t know the words (your friends are thanking me already…)

Christmas movies on TV? Perfect for present wrapping

Got a ton of presents to wrap, but you want to watch TV? I’ve found that holiday movies are the best way to wrap and make an evening of fun. On Wednesday, TNT has “The Wizard of Oz” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Or you might enjoy “Happy Feet” on Disney Channel. The only thing I don’t recommend is spiked eggnog during your evening event. I’ve noticed that wrapping becomes a little sloppy toward the end of the evening. Perhaps a cup of hot cocoa instead?

Laugh tonight! ‘SNL Christmas’

Fans who love the late night show, “Saturday Night Live” don’t have to stay up too late to get a good holiday laugh. The “SNL Christmas,” on NBC will be on tonight in primetime. Offering some holiday jokes from 40 years on TV, the fans are going to enjoy a blast from the past with a taste of seasonal delight.

And Finally…. Hollywood grieves hearing Alan Thicke’s passing

On Wednesday morning the grief around Hollywood can be seen and heard. TV, radio and news anchors have been sharing their stories of time spent with the Alan Thicke’s passing. A nice man who touched a number of lives, both in and out of Hollywood, the actor was also a musician. His unexpected death has the entertainment community honoring his legacy. He will be missed.
