‘NCIS’ season 14, episode 11 preview: When will Mark Harmon, cast return for ‘Willoughby’?

NCIS -

Tonight, “NCIS” will be bringing you the final episode of this current season in “The Tie That Binds,” a story that should serve as a great opportunity to get to know matters even better when it comes to the character of Dr. Mallard (David McCallum). You’ll be seeing the younger version of the character played by Adam Campbell, and potentially a few surprises to go along with it.

Now, the question that you really have to answer is this: When will you get a chance to see more of the show? This is the winter finale, and with that, you’ll be off for the holidays other than repeats. The next installment is entitled “Willoughby,” and it will be airing on Tuesday, January 3.

So what is going to be coming up over the course of this hour? Your guess is effectively as good as ours, but our hope is that we do get a good Gibbs story at some point soon, given that Mark Harmon still remains a central figure on the show and much of tonight’s episode seems to be geared mostly around a Christmas that he will be spending in part around Tobias Fornell. One other thing that we would appreciate is a chance to see someone who is a little bit more of a consistent adversary, given that to date, this is something that we really have not seen surface all that much on the show this season.

For the most part, it feels like the first half of the season has been about getting to know a number of the new characters, which makes a certain degree of sense given that we have Alex Quinn, Clayton Reeves, and Nick Torres all on the show now who weren’t there, for the most part, for most of last season. Now that we know them better, isn’t it time to hand down a little bit of adversity? We do certainly like to think so.
