‘The Walking Dead’ season 7: Feast your eyes on the ‘eye’ of Chandler Riggs’ Carl
The penultimate episode of “The Walking Dead” season 7A is coming your way on Sunday night, and AMC is using some rather creative measures at this point in order to properly promote it. Specifically, they are emphasizing something as simple as an eye.
In a post on the show’s official Instagram page (see below), you can see 100% confirmation that we’re going to find out what’s under Carl’s eye patch — in other words, have the barf-bag nearby because this is more than likely going to be pretty darn gruesome.
The episode’s title is “Sing Me a Song,” and for those of you out there who know the comics, this is incredibly significant. For everyone else, just remember that the show tends to name things a certain way for a reason, and this will play a role in the story. Like Carl and his big “showcase,” this could also be rather disturbing in its own way.
In terms of confirmed information, this episode is going to be a 90-minute showcase of the Sanctuary, which encompasses Negan, Dwight, and the rest of his cronies. Promos suggest that Daryl Dixon will be featured, and the reasoning for Carl’s trauma more than likely stems from the notion of him being a stowaway as he makes his own journey up to fight Negan. It’s not the smartest move in the world, but don’t you have to admire the gumption for a few seconds before you realize just how terrible of a mistake this is? Seriously. It’s awful. There’s a good chance Carl doesn’t make it out of the next couple of episodes alive as a result.
