‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: See Nick Viall in new Thanksgiving promo

The new season of “The Bachelor” is coming to ABC on Monday, January 2, and based on the new promo below, the show is really trying to play up one thing above all else: Abs. Also, Thanksgiving.

This promo came out over the holiday, and it gives you more of a sense than anything that ABC is really leaning into the idea this year that Nick Viall is the controversial / scandalous leading man and they’re going to have a lot of fun with that. This isn’t a guy that they’re selling as the good ol’ boy with a traditional American job or someone who just had his heart broken and is crushed. It’s Nick! They knew what they were getting when they first hired him to be the lead of the show.

There’s a little bit of footage old and new from the first night mixed in here, but we’re not going to proclaim that any of it is going to leave your jaw on the floor or you scrambling to get a little bit more insight into what’s coming. It’s the same sort of fluff that you get in almost every promo. We’re sure that there is some ridiculous Night 1 entrance buried in here somewhere, whether it be someone arriving on a horse, in a funny costume, or with some other terrible gimmick. Remember, there have been some times where people do this and end up making it really far after they squeak by on the first night! Also, there are some  others who get eliminated almost right away.

The new season of “The Bachelor” starts January 2, and hopefully, we’ll be able to get into some cast spotlights when that is released hopefully at some point in the next few weeks.
