‘Dancing with the Stars 23’ results: Will Jana Kramer, Marilu Henner, or Terra Jole be eliminated?

Tonight, the “Dancing with the Stars” field narrows further as we get into the waning weeks of this season, and it is starting to become all the more clear as to the likely top three are, and who will be cut by the wayside before we get around to that.

Right now, the bottom tier clearly seems to be Terra Jole & Sasha Farber, Marilu Henner & Derek Hough, and Jana Kramer & Gleb Savchenko. None of the Stars are bad, but one of them still has to leave the competition tonight. Conventional wisdom would suggest that the most-likely candidate at present would be Marilu, just because her scores on average are lower and we’re also not sure she’s had the same powerful story as either of the other two women we’re mentioning here.

Yet, here’s where things get complicated: If you look solely at the popularity of the professional partners, Derek by far is the most famous of any of the three guys here. He’s also the one with the most success on the show, and that fan following alone could carry him for a while. We’re not sure how much ABC or the producers want the pro’s popularity to influence results, but we do think it does and that’s in part why Derek makes it very far every season, in addition to him also having some partners who are malleable to his teaching skills.

In the end, we really do consider tonight’s show a toss-up in terms of the results. We do think that there’s a chance someone like Jana goes home and the show pegs it some sort of elimination “shocker,” but we don’t think that it’s the case. The only stunners tonight would be if we lose Laurie Hernandez & Val Chmerkovskiy, Calvin Johnson & Lindsay Arnold, and James Hinchcliffe & Sharna Burgess.
