‘The Flash’ season 3, episode 3 preview: Meet Jesse Quick and Magenta!

Following the conclusion of the Flashpoint Paradox on “The Flash,” there’s a lot to be excited about as the show returns next week with a new episode entitled “Magenta.” We’re not only going to be meeting the title villain for the first time, but you’re also going to have your first chance this season to see Harrison Wells (the Earth-2 version) and his daughter Jesse. The twist? Well, one of them is not going to be the same person Barry remembered before the showdown with Zoom.

“Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash are thrilled to reunite with Earth-2 Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Jesse (guest star Violett Beane). Wells confides to Barry and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) that Jesse has all the powers of a speedster and has been saving people on his Earth. He is concerned about her safety and wants them to talk her out of using her powers. Meanwhile, Magenta, (guest star Joey King) a new meta who can control metal, terrorizes the city.”

Who thinks that Jesse’s not going to be talked out of this? We imagine that her powers are still going to be in the early stages, and she could be almost the Speedy to Oliver Queen’s Green Arrow. This could be fun. The same goes for seeing Magenta, even if she is an adversary to Barry over the course of the hour.

Promo – You can check that out below, but it doesn’t reveal a whole lot beyond that Jesse is now Jesse Quick, and Harry actually seems a little more enthusiastic about it than you would first think. The question we have coming out of tonight’s episode is the role of Caitlin Snow now that she has some sort of powers, and will she actually admit it to someone else.
