‘Big Brother: Over the Top’ cast spotlight: Meet ‘OTT’ houseguest Whitney Hogg

Whitney -With “Big Brother: Over the Top” having the name that it does, you would hopefully expect that there would be a wide array of over-the-top personalities that are on board. Does Whitney Hogg fit that particular bill? It’s interesting, mostly because she is someone who claims to be a superfan, seems energetic, but also has a voice that could completely disarm people. She’s almost the southern-drawl version of Bronte from this season.

Ultimately, we don’t quite imagine her being a huge player this season — but as you are going to see in the spotlight article below, she is someone who we could see around on the should for a long time.

Bio – She is a 21-year old medical assistant from Whitesburg, Kentucky, which really is a small town in the middle of nowhere of just over 2,000 people. She references “Eastern Kentucky” on a fairly regular basis in her CBS video, and we have a hard time figuring out precisely what her strategy is.

Strengths – She’s sociable, she comes across as very nice, and we do think that the vast majority of people in the house will like her. She’s not there for a showmance, which means that she won’t be tied up in that nonsense. She’s someone who we could see being almost like a Porsche, who could win a challenge or two even if she’s not a beast.

Weaknesses – While she does consider herself to be a major fan of the show, at the same time we don’t get a real sense of her strategic. We don’t know how concerned she is going to be with actually trying to win the game beyond just representing herself and her part of the world well.

Prediction – It’s hard to imagine Whitney being someone who gets eliminated right away. There is no reason to get rid of her right away! She is not a threat to anyone, she is probably not going to be altogether dominant in challenges, and she will probably not be a big strategist. She’s there for the experience, and that could take her a good ways into the game.
