‘Prison Break’ revival: Filming officially wraps

For everyone out there thoroughly excited about the “Prison Break” revival coming to television (and understandably so), know this: We’re not yet another milestone closer to it coming back on the air!

The photo HERE comes via the show’s official writers room, who confirm that the wrap party for the nine-episode limited series has happened. The show filmed throughout the late spring and early summer, and was certainly eventful when it comes to the amount of content that needed to be crammed in thanks to actor schedules elsewhere. There was also the injury to Dominic Purcell that needed to be worked around, but the good news there is that he seems to be doing okay.

Now, one of the next milestones is going to be the announcement of an official premiere date, which may not come for some time. The latest indications are that the show will be coming in the spring of next year, but since Fox still has some other fall and midseason shows to work through, that could change and it is understandable that they would not want to reveal anything too specific just yet. After all, why would they want to do that and then have to change the date later if something earlier rolls around?

Let’s just hope that at some point during this time period, we at least see something new when it comes to a trailer or some other isolated footage. Sure, we’ve already waited for years, but anything to make that process easier.
