Should ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 8 have a Deeks / Kensi wedding?

Mrs. Carter: When you consider just how long the “NCIS” franchise has lasted, wouldn’t you think that we would’ve gotten a chance to see more weddings at some point?

The statement above seems to be a fairly easy assumption that more people would be getting married, but the truth here is that it’s a relative rarity. Maybe some people out there actually prefer it that way, but romance is a huge part of life, and every now and then it’s interesting to see what happens when characters on a show like “NCIS: Los Angeles” get paired up.

This of course brings up to Marty Deeks and Kensi Blye, who have been together for a fairly solid span of time on the show at this point. We’ve seen how much they care about each other, and also how much they’re willing to fight for each other. They’ve also talked about their future, and we know what direction their lives are heading in.

Now, we should pop the question about Deeks potentially doing so himself: Will an engagement come this season? We feel confident that it should. With a move to Sunday nights this fall, we think there is a little more uncertainty regarding the long-term future of the show since that can be a tricky timeslot. You want to get at least some things longtime fans want to see out of the way sooner rather than later, since eight seasons is a long time for a show to last. If you do the engagement in season 8, that gives you time to figure out if a season 9 will happen. If it does, then you’ve got some time on the wedding! If it doesn’t, then hopefully you’ve got enough time to have one happen by the end of the finale.
