While you wait for ‘The Walking Dead’ season 7, check out Norman Reedus, Andrew Lincoln’s new spoof video

walking deadEven though we’re less than five months away from the return of “The Walking Dead” to AMC, that doesn’t change the fact that this is a long wait. Therefore, why not take a few minutes to laugh?

The video below is from the recent Red Nose Day special that aired on NBC raising money for charity, and it featured stars Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus imagining what some sort of “lighter version” of their show would be like. What this became in their heads was a sort of “Star Wars Christmas Special” sort of program that featured Sonequa Martin-Green as some sort of dance leader, Christian Serratos as a comedian, Steven Yeun as a puppeteer, and Melissa McBride as a musical act performing an incredibly-long drum solo.

There are also some appearances in here from former cast members (apparently, David Morrissey is going to be Elvis), and also some people tangentially tied to the show. “Talking Dead” host Chris Hardwick is fighting with Dax Shepard for the role of Han Solo, while frequent “Talking Dead” guest Yvette Nicole Brown is playing the part of Daryl’s aunt.

In the end, this is mostly a funny little interlude for all of you “Walking Dead” fans looking for something different, especially since the majority of the show is so serious, action-packed, and even at times depressing. Also, it’s even nicer that the group got together to support a good charitable cause.

Stay tuned; we’ll have more news on production as time passes.
