‘Royal Pains’ season 8 spoilers: First look at premiere ‘Stranger Danger’

Fans of “Royal Pains,” we come bearing great news: The wait for the show’s return is almost over! Of course, the bad news here is that there are only eight more episodes of the show until the series finale. That only means that there is so much time for things to wrap up, and there are many stories that need a practical conclusion.

Let’s begin here with the May 18 premiere entitled “Stranger Danger,” which, per the photo and the synopsis below, is going to bring back Henry Winkler as Hank and Evan’s dad Eddie. Also, the synopsis below also hints at the return of Jeremiah, a character who really was not around as much in the seventh season as we would have liked:

“Hank treats a hardheaded politician while Divya’s future hits a roadblock. Jeremiah returns but struggles with his first patient. Eddie has a surprise that gets mixed reactions from Hank & Evan.”

We’re not sure just yet if this is the sort of show that will tie the stories of many of its main characters into a neat little bow, and we don’t necessarily even need that. All we’re going to need out of this final season to be happy is some sort of inclination that these characters have a plan for what they want their future to be, and how they hope to get there. There’s really not a whole lot of time left, so we expect there to be a quick pace, and also for there to be some things that inevitably don’t happen due to time.
