‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7, episode 21 preview: Paul Wesley directs ‘Requiem for a Dream’

Salvatore -

We’re starting to get near the end of “The Vampire Diaries” this season, and with that of course means that many stories are starting to reach their peak. Bonnie’s life is still in danger (especially given Rayna’s curse-of-sorts), and what Damon will be willing to do in order to save her many raise a few eyebrows. At the same time, there are going to be some other events that could really put Stefan and Caroline’s relationship in a whole new light.

The next installment (entitled “Requiem for a Dream”) is directed by Paul Wesley, and you can tell that he definitely has the trust of the showrunners at this point that he has so many episodes under his belt. This may be the most-important hour he has helmed to date! The synopsis below offers you a few more details regarding what you can expect to see:

“When Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) risky attempt to save Bonnie (Kat Graham) takes an unexpected turn, the consequences of his actions forces everyone to band together to help her pull through. Meanwhile, when a new threat leaves Caroline’s (Candice King) life in jeopardy, Stefan (Paul Wesley) makes a rash decision that ultimately forces them to face the fallout from their relationship. Elsewhere, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) tries to hold it together as he painfully watch Bonnie in the fight of her life, while Matt (Zach Roerig) takes matters into his own hands to save one of his closest friends.”

Whatever happens here, the one thing that we can certainly say with confidence is that it will probably carry over in a big way to the upcoming season 7 finale airing later next month. Oh, and Evil Bonnie excites / terrifies us.
