‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12 spoilers: First news on potentially-huge finale

“Grey’s Anatomy” is a show that loves to go hard for all of its finales, and we’ve already heard whispers that there could (possibly) be yet another big disaster when we get around to the end of this season. For the time being, though, the network is choosing to stay quiet on that aspect of the hour.

Instead, what we have for you below via SpoilerTV are some of the first details regarding “Family Affair,” a storyline that could revolve around all sorts of different relationships. For one, you’ve got the sisterly bond between Meredith and Maggie, the sister-in-law bond that Meredith has with Amelia, and also the completely fractured relationship between Callie and Arizona. Based on this synopsis, you’d almost think that this was a quiet, character-based story:

“Meredith and Maggie offer Amelia support; Jo admits she’s been keeping things from Alex; Arizona and Callie deal with the effects of their custody arrangement.”

Of course, there is probably so much more going on in this episode than you have a chance to see in just this small description, but we’re still a couple of episodes away! If everything were to be released right now, what else would there be to share? Suffice it to say, we’re really excited to see how this carousel winds down for the time being, provided that it doesn’t involve someone being flung off of it into the nearest wall. (Hey, if Shonda Rhimes is going to use the carousel metaphor, we may as well take it to another level.
