‘Shark Tank’ video: Brightwheel presentation leads to Mark Cuban – Chris Sacca debate

Shark Tank -When it comes to the products featured on Friday night’s new episode of “Shark Tank,” we feel like few ultimately have the potentially to be as innovative or as successful as Brightwheel. The idea of this company is simple: An app with the technology to create a perfect resource for teachers. They can track their business, update parents, and chronicle events in a convenient one-stop shop. There are not too many apps out there designed with educators in mind, and we feel like parents would especially appreciate this as opposed to the long-winded parent / teacher conference sometimes.

Do we have some concerns over this idea? Sure, mostly that teachers are so overworked as it is that finding time to also use an app could prove to be challenging for them. Yet, that doesn’t stop Chris Sacca from making the company what we think is a rather-generous offer in the sneak peek below.

Let’s be real here for a second. When you look at Sacca’s portfolio and the success he has had in the mobile app business with his investments, we wouldn’t waste a whole lot of time before saying “deal.” We know that he could help the company become successful all over the world. Do we blame our particular pitchman in this case for asking Chris if he’d be interested in working with someone else? Not at all, but you have to be prepared for any consequences that come with keeping him waiting.

The meatiest part of the sneak peek comes when Chris more or less states that none of the other Sharks have anything to really offer to this company that he doesn’t already have, which is a comment that Mark Cuban is not particularly pleased to hear. He challenges Chris on that … and then the clip ends. You’ll get a chance to see more tonight.
