NBC’s ‘The Voice’ bringing on Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden

VoiceWhile the title above may be true, don’t take this as any sort of sign that Michelle Obama or Dr. Jill Biden are going to be performing a blind audition for any of the coaches.

Rather, NBC has confirmed that the First Lady and Biden will be appearing on “The Voice” Monday night in order to further promote her Joining Forces initiative, which is meant to help honor and support military veterans, their spouses, and other loved ones. This is a initiative that is also leading to Obama appearing on Tuesday night’s new episode of “NCIS,” which carries with it the title of “Homefront.”

NBC has also announced that for Monday’s episode, there will be many active soldiers and their families in the audience. It’s a way to honor these people for their contributions, though at the same time there will be performances from the competing artists and everything else that you expect to see from the show. The top ten will up becoming nine presumably at the end of this week, as the show continues to do its slow pattern of eliminations before we get to the mass elimination otherwise known as the reveal of the finalists this season.

For those a little behind on the season, for now we’d say that Alisan Porter and Adam Wakefield are the two favorites to go far and even with the season; however, at the same time there is some flexibility and room for things to change over the coming weeks, based on the quality of the performances ahead.
