‘The Flash’ season 2 wrapping filming today, star Grant Gustin confirms

Flash

For those of you wondering as to when the last episode of “The Flash” season 2 would be wrapped up, we are officially here with confirmation on that subject: Today.

In a post on Twitter, Barry Allen himself in Grant Gustin confirmed that Monday is the last day for him filming the superhero show, which will air its season finale on Tuesday, May 24. That gives the crew over in post-production plenty of time to get this particular story together. Filming for the season began in the middle of the summer, which means that these people have been at work for roughly nine months trying to make this story great, and that’s not even really including some of the other work they do like interviews or anything in post-production that is required. They may be paid handsomely for their work, but it’s a lot of work and some rather long hours.

As for what Grant will be up to in his hiatus, he is going to be heading down to Atlanta to work on “Krystal,” a new film directed by William H. Macy. He’ll have a chance to star in this film, get a little break, and then go back up to Vancouver for season 3. There may be some other things here and there for him to do, as well. He’s far from the only CW – DC Universe actor to pull double-duty with TV and film, as Stephen Amell spent much of his “Arrow” hiatus last year working on “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.”

As Grant points out, “The Flash” returns Tuesday night with new episodes, and you can read more about the upcoming “Versus Zoom” over at the link here.
