‘Vikings’ season 4, episode 10 (midseason finale) preview: The battle between Ragnar and Rollo

All season long, “Vikings” has been building towards something epic between Ragnar and Rollo. What else did you expect given the full extent of Rollo’s betrayal? So far this season we have seen him shaft his own brother in exchange for many favors from France (including a marriage to the Emperor’s daughter), and given what we know about Ragnar, he’s not taking that betrayal well. As a matter of fact, you can probably expect the midseason finale on Thursday night to be one of the most shocking and deadly episodes of the series so far, and we say that knowing full well that there have already been a wide array of deadly episodes for the show this season.

At the front of everything will be the battle between these two brothers, and the fact that they are family is going to make this confrontation even more harrowing to watch. We are sure that blood will be shed – but’s who’s blood still remains to be seen.

The synopsis for this episode below (via TV Guide) puts the story in rather-blunt terms:

“In the Season 4 [midseason] finale, victory proves costly in the battle between the Vikings and the French as Ragnar squares off against Rollo, sealing the fates of the two brothers.”

After this episode, expect quite a cliffhanger. While there is no exact premiere date just yet for the second half of season 4, all indications suggest that the series will be back on History at some point later this year.
