‘Legends of Tomorrow’ spoilers: Patrick J. Adams will not play Booster Gold

LegendsGiven the amount of buzz regarding one casting possibility for Patrick J. Adams on “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” we figured that there was a certain degree of value in clarifying things at the moment.

As first reported by TVLine, the “Suits” star is not going to be playing the part of time-traveling hero Booster Gold, someone who has been the subject of many rumors over the years with one show or another. From our vantage point, it’s clear that there are plans for this character somewhere in between the movies and the television universe, since he is well-known enough that we believe that he would have probably turned up otherwise.

Adams’ appearance will come at the end of the season, and for the time being all that we can say for certain is that he will be playing a particularly popular person within the universe. There are a lot of different possibilities that inherently come with that, but we don’t expect him to be a permanent member of the team or anything of the sort. Adams is a regular on “Suits”; as a matter of fact, we do not think the show would go on without him. Given that it has another season to film premiering over the summer, he is going to be rather busy.

Meanwhile, the “Legends of Tomorrow” finale will air on May 19. There is going to be more or less a new episode airing every week between now and then, which is hopefully going to stabilize the show somehow and help it overcome some of the problems that it has been labeled with so far.
