‘Blindspot’ episode 14 preview: Could Jaimie Alexander’s Jane leave the FBI?
One of the great things that “Blindspot” does seem to have going for it at the moment is that despite being where they are in the show at the moment, they’re still finding new ways to shake things up and surprise people. That’s especially important when you are consider that we are entering episode 14 on Monday night.
What’s the significance of this? It comes back to the fact that the majority of new series when they are first ordered are given a total of thirteen episodes to work with. Therefore, the thirteenth is typically constructed as a huge episode just in case it is the finale, and then they have to build their way back up to the top again. It doesn’t really seem at the moment that this is something that “Blindspot” is altogether concerned about, since the show may just be trying to find a way to top itself once more again.
The title for the next new episode of the show is “Rules in Defiance,” and the attached synopsis offers up at least a few more details regarding what you can expect to see unfold over the cousre of the story:
“An anonymous tip leads the team to investigate an urgent death row case, ultimately sending Zapata (Audrey Esparza) undercover. After nearly getting caught during the mole hunt, Jane (Jaimie Alexander) considers leaving the FBI.”
Ultimately, we do have a really hard time envisioning Jane walking away from the FBI even if the thought enters her head. After all, you just have to remember here that without her working with the team, you’re changing effectively the entire show.
