‘Madam Secretary’ season 2, episode 17 preview: What’s next for Tea Leoni, cast in ‘Higher Learning’

Secretary -After a week off this past week due to the Academy Awards, “Madam Secretary” returned to CBS on Sunday night with what was basically another chapter in the show. Henry had a new job, and as a result of that it allowed us to see some new events unfold in a way that was different than anything that we saw as of late. The episode was energetic, and moving into next week’s “Higher Learning,” we are going to see some of these specific story elements be a big part of the narrative.

For a few more details right now regarding what you can expect, look no further than the official synopsis via the network:

“While Elizabeth accompanies Alison on a college campus tour, she is ambushed by protestors about a Chilean mining operation involving the U.S. and Chilean governments. Also, Henry, Jane and Jose Campos (Carlos Gómez), attempt to track down Jibral Disah’s third wife, Hijriyyah.”

Ultimately, protests are something that Tea Leoni’s character has to get used to given her job, and this could only increase exponentially if she continues on in this post. The longer that she remains a pivotal part of the government, the more that she will come up against people with strong opinions. It’s inevitable, and as a result of that these are just the sort of things that she will need to prepare for and contend with in some way. We’ll have more soon, so stay tuned!
