‘Mob Wives’ star Angela ‘Big Ang’ Raiola dead at 55

Big Ang -After a lengthy battle with cancer, the bad news became official early Thursday morning: Angela “Big Ang” Raiola of “Mob Wives” fame is dead. She was 55 years old. The news was confirmed in a post on the reality star’s Twitter account, thanking the fans for their support and saying that the page will remain open so that people can continue to look back over her life and her experiences as a celebration of who she was.

There was some confusion on the part of the media’s yesterday as for whether or not she had passed. There were some outlets who prematurely reported her death, and there were many statements that came out as a result of that stating otherwise.

“Mob Wives” became a sensation for VH1 not too long after it began airing, with it eventually spawning six separate seasons. It is currently in the midst of what is to be believed its final season, and we anticipate the network doing quite a bit to tribute on of its biggest stars from the franchise. They have already written a post online stating that “The VH1 family lost one of it’s brightest and most beloved stars this morning.”

There was at one point briefly a “Big Ang” spin-off, which ran for one season a number of years ago. That series was never renewed, but she remained with the flagship show. Up until recently she was also continuing to tweet and share messages about appearances on the show, so she remained very much in touch with all of the fans despite her personal struggle.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Big Ang’s family, and everyone else who loved her. We anticipate that there will be some more tributes that come out over the course of the next several days, so that is something that you should keep an eye out for.
