‘The Walking Dead’ season 6, episode 9 preview: Discussing first scene with Norman Reedus, Michael Cudlitz

twdSunday night marks a new episode of “The Walking Dead,” and we are here today to chronicle what is the first scene from what looks on paper to be an exciting / shocking installment of the show. You can see this sneak peek for yourself by heading over here.

As for what this scene chronicles, think of it as an extension of what we had during the epilogue at the end of the first half of the season. Negan’s men take away some of the weapons from Daryl (Norman Reedus), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green, who we recently interviewed), and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), and then demand even more from them. Not only that, but they want to drive them back to their home, that way they know precisely where they come from.

Of course, the question that we find ourselves wondering right now is how these people, provided they have such great modes of transportation, have not discovered Alexandria to date. Maybe they’ve been conserving fuel or something? It just doesn’t seem like it judging from how they are riding around in packs. Regardless of anything else, the big takeaway is that these people are desperate to get what they want from these three, and could potentially kill them all otherwise.

The preview ends with guns pointed right at the heads of our main characters … but there’s no indication that anyone pulls the trigger. We assume that this is not happening, mostly because this would be a rather depressing midseason premiere to lose three series regulars in such a short period of time.
