‘Poldark’ season 2: More Aidan Turner teases and more

For anyone out there who loves “Poldark” and is going through Aidan Turner withdrawals, we can at least consider this article a slight cure to get you through this Valentine’s Day weekend.

As you can see via the show’s official Twitter account below, we’ve got some brand-new snaps featuring none other than Turner’s Ross in action. One of them is even with Demelza! Of course, the problem here with it is that the couple are so far away that you are going to have a hard time even seeing them.

We’ve touch a lot of these photos in the past in terms of how great it is that the show producers keep sharing them, but there’s one aspect of it that we have not fully explored just yet: How smart this move really is. It’s brilliant when you think about it for a minute. In putting these photos out themselves, the show reduces the value of paparazzi snaps of Turner and the cast, and therefore reduces the number of snoops coming to the set. It’s similar in a way to celebrities putting out their own wedding photos to lower the value on the ones that the paparazzi try to capture.

Unfortunately, the bad news that we still have to report at the end of the day here is that “Poldark” will not be returning to the air until the autumn, so there’s a long time to wait. Given that the show still is so far in the distance, it may be later this spring or even summer until the BBC decides to release a promo / trailer. There’s really no hurry, since the press and the fan base are doing everything they could ask for and then some when it comes to promoting the show.
